Frequently Asked Questions
How does the keg gear work?

When we arrive with your first keg, you will be ready to pour your first beer within seconds. Our kegs are 9.5L and arrive cold. We also deliver a miniature gas bottle with a regulator already fitted, set to the best gas pressure for your selected beer. We will show you how to attach the gas to your keg, which uses an industry standard ball-lock system... no tools required... easy as! We also deliver a tap device called a 'pluto gun' with the optimal beer line length already attached. That simply clips on to your keg too using the same ball-lock system, which we will demonstrate. And there you go, ready to pour your first schooner!

Do I own the keg and gear?
In a word, no! Your membership joining fee and deposit give you access to our keg fleet and required gear. The great thing about this is that you don't need to worry about cleaning out kegs and gear, we operate the fleet on a 'swap and go' basis. When we drop off your second keg, we collect the empty keg and gear, take it all back to base and professionally clean and sanitise all components. Clean kegs are then filled and sent out on the next weekly run. If you ever decide to cancel your membership we will collect your keg & gear and then refund your deposit.
As a member, when can I order a keg?
Once your membership is activated, you can order a keg as often as you like. With your member log in, you can access the current month's beers on our website and select from a range of beer styles from some of Australia's top breweries. Currently we operate a weekly keg run, so if you get your order in by midnight Sunday we will deliver to you the next Thursday or Friday. Once your order is placed our team will be in touch to arrange a delivery time, based on a one hour time slot.  If you have a more urgent need contact us and we will see what we can do!
What beers are typically on offer?
We exclusively partner with independent craft breweries, as defined by our brewery partner criteria based on ownership structure, investment in stainless and of course quality of the beer. Our goal is to publish a beer list each month that features a great selection of Australia's top breweries and all key styles of beer. From highly session-able mid-strength options, through to clean & crisp lagers and pilsners, all the way to the wide world of IPA styles and ABV strengths, and of course dialling up key seasonal favourites like winter stouts and porters or summer sours! You love NEIPA's and IIPA's..... no problem! Fancy a bold RED IPA as the weather cools.... no dramas! As we grow, so will the number of breweries we can partner with and the width of the range we can offer!
What is included in a Tasting Pack?
There are a lot of tasting packs and beer subscription services available. We are a bit different.... our tasting packs are designed to work hand in glove with our keg choices, giving you the opportunity to safely explore the world of craft beer and choose your favourites by the keg with confidence. Each tasting pack arrives cold and ready to enjoy, complete with a personalised beer tasting placemat for you and a mate. Sit down and share each tinnie and discuss the flavours and experience. Give each beer a heart rating and then decide what to order for you next keg. Stay tuned for Beerlove tasting paddle kits to round out the brewery experience, coming soon!
How does Beerlove manage beer quality?
It all starts with the breweries we partner with. We love sticklers for quality. The more they grill us on our processes and cleaning standards, the better. We have worked with the top beer consultant in Australia to review and certify all processes for filling kegs, washing kegs and cleaning beer lines. Our aim is to always remain significantly better than the established industry quality thresholds.
Does craft beer need to be kept cold?
Yes! Craft beer is typically not pasteurised, which means that the beer needs to stay cold to preserve the quality of flavour profile. We store all beer cold within our warehouses, and keep the beer cold whilst in transit to you. Once delivered you will need to store the beer in the fridge (or ice if consuming immediately). We recommend you clear a space 290w x 220d x 440h mm to accommodate the keg and gas cylinder within your fridge.
How long will the beer last?
All our kegs come with a CO2 gas canister and regulator ready to attach to the keg. This ensures that when you tap your keg it will be kept under pressure, which means it will not go flat in a couple of days as with some of the kegs you can buy at major bottle-shop chains. Our kegs will last for 3+ months once tapped. Good luck trying to keep it that long!
